32. Husband & father. Creator.
I had an interest in things artistic from a young age. At 6-years-old I would go through piles of scratch paper from my dad's office (and my mom's scrapbooking card-stock when that ran out) drawing Pokémon. I won a contest in 4th grade for an artistic treatment of my initials, and one in fifth grade for my drawing of a superhero called "Pyro Punk" clad in baggy jeans with flames for hair and a can of gasoline in his hand. I enjoyed being creative, but I don't know how much I actually enjoyed "analog" art. Luckily, I was introduced to Photoshop and iMovie at age 12, and the rest is history.

My high school really only offered three classes on digital media creation, but I took them all and got upwards of 100% in Graphics, Advanced Graphics, and Multimedia. My graphics teacher still shows some of my work to new students at the beginning of each year. I got my first job as a graphic designer the summer after I graduated and worked consistently in the field for years.

I bought a Canon DSLR with my first check from my first graphic design job. It quickly became my second love. I took everyone's prom photos and senior pictures, got really into doing headshots, and even happened into some food & product photography gigs.

If that all wasn't enough, I also got into making videos along the way. When it came time for college, I already had somewhat of a career going in graphic design, but wanted to learn more about filmmaking, so I decided to major in Digital Media with an emphasis in Cinema Production at Utah Valley University. I learned all the ins-and-outs of professional video production, worked key positions on several senior projects, helped out on two feature films, and have now made dozens of videos for local businesses and individuals over the years. I'm working on a few short films and I especially love making music videos.

My long-term goals are to become the creative director for a cool consumer brand, make a name for myself as a music video creator, and write + direct a feature film.
